JILI7 Shooter Game: What the Genre Is and What Carried Over
A shooter game, which studios still call a fishing machine, is a game where players fire at swimming targets that carry prize multipliers.
Key facts and contents
- JILI7 Dinosaur Tycoon II
- Dinosaur Tycoon II is a JILI fish-and-arcade shooter published in March 2023.
- JILI7 Fish Slot Basics
- A fish slot is a slot game with a fishing theme.
A shooter game in a casino lobby still carries its arcade name, fishing machine. The games began as arcade cabinets, and the studios that now make them for phones still use the word: JILI’s own page introduces Royal Fishing as a “beginners’ entry-level fishing machine”. Knowing what the cabinet idea was helps you read today’s versions, which is why this page sits under the skill game pillar.
What a shooter game is
| Part | On the cabinet idea | On a phone today |
|---|---|---|
| Players | Several seats around one shared screen | One player on one screen |
| Stake | Cost per shot | Cost per shot, set by weapon level |
| Targets | Swimming creatures with prize values | The same, plus bosses and special creatures |
| Prizes | Paid on capture | Paid on capture, plus wheels and jackpots |
The shared-screen arcade layout is the general shape of the genre; on a phone you see the same sea from a single seat.
What carried over to the online versions
JILI’s own game pages show which cabinet features survive online:
- Weapons. Mega Fishing lists torpedoes and a railgun; Dinosaur Tycoon II offers “a variety of weapons”.
- Energy attacks. In Royal Fishing, shooting fills an energy bar until a full-screen attack is unleashed.
- Bosses. Royal Fishing’s Money Dragon King can trigger a multiplier wheel up to 350X.
- Bonus reels and wheels. Happy Fishing and Mega Fishing both list a Special Octopus Wheel, with Happy Fishing’s reel multipliers up to x950.
What did not carry over is the shared table: online, nobody else’s bullets compete with yours.

Fishing machine or fishing slot?
The words get mixed up. A fishing machine is a shooter; a fishing slot is a slot with a fishing theme, such as Big Bass Bonanza. A fish slot compared with shooters shows the difference side by side, so you know which kind of game, and which kind of risk, you are opening.
| Fishing machine | Fishing slot | |
|---|---|---|
| Example | Royal Fishing | Big Bass Bonanza |
| You pay per | Shot | Spin |
| RTP published | No, on JILI’s pages | 96.71% |
FAQ
What is a fishing machine?
A shooting game where you spend a set amount per shot on swimming targets that pay multipliers when captured. Studios such as JILI still use the term for their online versions.
Is a fishing machine the same as a slot machine?
No. A slot pays on symbols from a spin; a fishing machine charges per shot and pays on captured targets. Both settle results inside the game.
Which JILI fishing machine is for beginners?
JILI's own page calls Royal Fishing a beginners' entry-level fishing machine. It is in the JILI fish list on the JILI7 lobby.
